Benefice of Buckrose Carrs

Welcome to the Benefice of Buckrose Carrs. We are a welcoming congregation, meeting in Churches spanning from Thorpe Bassett and Rillington, across to Sherburn, in the beautiful Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. We would love to invite you to join us for Sunday worship, to celebrate your life milestones with us, to join us in our community activities, or for quiet personal times of prayer. Whether you are a long time Christian, someone who has questions about God, faith and religion, or both, all are welcome.

If you would like space for private prayer or contemplation, St Martin's Scampston, St Andrew's Rillington, and All Saint's in Thorpe Bassett are open daily for individual use. Please contact individual church wardens if you would like more information or to enquire about accessing other churches.

Verse of the day

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:5-8
